Former President Joe Biden\u2019s prostate cancer has spread to other parts of his body and is causing him significant pain, his son Hunter Biden revealed during a Friday interview.
\n\u201cThe cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,\u201d Hunter Biden told the BBC in an interview which aired Friday. \u201cIt\u2019s very painful and it\u2019s very debilitating in many respects,\u201d he added.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s really sad to watch,\u201d Hunter Biden said. \u201cThe only thing that I\u2019d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it\u2019s not good.\u201d
\nDespite his poor health, Hunter Biden said his father is \u201cstill doing his thing,\u201d and attending speaking engagements.

Joe Biden revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in May 2025, just months after he departed the Oval Office.
\nThe diagnosis at the time was that the cancer was Stage 4, \u201caggressive\u201d and had already spread to his bones.
\nHe received a Gleason score of 9, indicating both the cancer\u2019s aggressive nature and the potential that he had been living with it for years.

\n\u201cHe had it while he was president,\u201d said Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, vice provost and oncologist at the University of Pennsylvania, adding Joe Biden \u201cprobably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.\u201d
\n\u201cHe did not develop it in the last 100 to 200 days,\u201d Emanuel said, according to the American Journal of Medical Care.<\/p>\n
Joe Biden\u2019s wife, Jill, previously told the hosts of ABC\u2019s \u201cThe View\u201d that his cancer has slowed him down.
\n\u201cHe keeps his schedule, but he\u2019s slowed down,\u201d she said in June. \u201cI mean, stage four cancer is \u2014 and he\u2019s 83 \u2014 so, I think the mix of everything and the medications that he\u2019s taken has made life a little more difficult these days.\u201d<\/p>\n
