{"id":34716,"date":"2026-03-08T00:01:22","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T00:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/investmentbankingrules.com\/?p=34716"},"modified":"2026-03-08T00:01:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T00:01:22","slug":"trump-says-hatred-between-putin-zelenskyy-blocking-ukraine-peace-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/investmentbankingrules.com\/?p=34716","title":{"rendered":"Trump says \u2018hatred\u2019 between Putin, Zelenskyy blocking Ukraine peace deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Donald Trump said Saturday that the \u2018hatred\u2019 between Russia and Ukraine is getting in the way of reaching a peace deal in that conflict, where the death toll is getting worse.\u00a0<br \/>\nTrump, speaking at the Shield of the Americas Summit in Doral, Fla., told world leaders assembled there that, \u2018The hatred between Putin and his counterpart is so great.\u2019\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2018It\u2019s\u00a0so great that, you know, Ukraine, Russia,\u00a0you\u2019d\u00a0think\u00a0there would\u00a0be a little bit of camaraderie,\u00a0[but] there\u2019s\u00a0not. And\u00a0the hatred\u00a0is so great.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0very hard\u00a0for them to get there.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0very, very hard\u00a0to get there.\u00a0So\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0see what happens,\u2019 Trump said. \u2018But\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0been close a lot of times\u00a0and one or the other would back out.\u2019\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2018But\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0losing, you\u00a0know,\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0losing, you know,\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0really affect us very much because\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0got an ocean separating.\u00a0I\u2019m doing it as a favor to Europe, and I\u2019m doing it as a favor to life because they\u2019re losing 25,000 souls,\u2019 Trump added. \u2018Think of that every month. 25,000. Last month, 31,000.\u00a0 Both sides, 31,000 people died, mostly soldiers.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told Fox News in late February that Russia is trying \u2018to play with the president of the United States\u2019 and stalling U.S.-brokered efforts to end the war.\u00a0<br \/>\nZelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to freeze the conflict along its current lines, proposing a ceasefire followed by negotiations.
